DESCRIPTION: Prewar Footballer with small dark blue and white ball. Made by 'Greens B'HAM' with Red v-neck.

Unusually this badge does not have the metal stamped out under the arms and between the legs, athough an attempt was clearly made by the punching machine, it wasn't successful. The design proceeded through the full enamelling process and appears to have been issued out as normal. Certified as genuine by the Greens backstamp to reverse.

BACKSTAMP: GREENS Type I backstamp in raised metal on reverse. The backstamp is clearly defined.

CONDITION: Presented for sale in immaculate condition. No evidence of any stress marks, surface scratches, chips or damage of any kind. The quality of the enamelling on this design is as good as you can expect to find on any Greens Prewar footballer. The only thing stopping this example from being a grade 10.0 is a tiny pin prick indentation on the head (only visible in certain angles). The metal is clean and bright on both sides. Complete with original straight pin.

The normal GREENS Footballer with red V-neck is a RARITY 4 badge, however, this one is likely to be a unique example due to the unpierced arms and legs.

See photos for full details. Multiple high quality images shows the badge from different angles.
