DESCRIPTION: Prewar Golly Golfer with bar between the feet for sale in very good condition. This design was one of the first enamel Golly badges ever issued by Robertsons. Manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons in the early 1930's. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse.
BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IB ii clearly defined stamp. This design has the correct but
more scarce REGd number 729156 on reverse which is stamped across TWO LINES
below the Miller backstamp (other variations of this backstamp exist). The majority of these designs had the incorrect number 729136 on reverse.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in excellent condition. Protective varnish coating still intact. Complete with original straight pin. Very slight shade variations to the red of the legs but not sufficient to be considered a stress mark, mentioned for completeness. For further information on grading please
