DESCRIPTION: Prewar Golly Golfer with bar between the feet. This design was one of the first enamel Golly badges ever issued by Robertsons. Manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons in the early 1930's. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse.

BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IB ii clearly defined stamp. This design has the correct but less commonly seen registration number of 729156 on reverse, with 'REGd' markings. The REGd 729156 is stamped across TWO LINES above the Miller backstamp (other variations of this backstamp exist). The majority of these designs had the incorrect number 729136 on reverse.

CONDITION: Presented for sale in good condition. Protective varnish coating still largely intact except to a small area on head. Lovely enamel. No stress marks or cracks. Complete with original straight pin. Reverse shows its age a little which surface dirt and light corrosion which could be removed if required but adds to the character.
