DESCRIPTION: Prewar Golly Golfer with bar between the feet for sale in very good condition. This design was one of the first enamel Golly badges ever issued by Robertsons. Manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons in the early 1930's. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse.
BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IA ii clearly defined stamp. This design has the incorrect but
more commonly seen registration number of 729136 on reverse, however, instead of the usual 'REGd' or 'REGd APPd' it is stamped 'RGD'. A variation which is known to the Golly Checklist team but which has not yet made its way int ot eh official listing. The RGD 729136 is stamped across TWO LINES
below the Miller backstamp (other variations of this backstamp exist). The majority of these designs had the incorrect number 729136 on reverse.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in excellent condition. Protective varnish coating still intact. Complete with original straight pin. No obvious flaws. A lovely example. For further information on grading please
