DESCRIPTION: Jolly Golly Golfer for sale in lovely condition. This delightful badge design was the first enamel Golly badge ever issued by Robertsons. Manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons from 1928. The Jolly Golly Golfer originally had a line in the mouth to distinguish the lips, as this small area was hard to enamel it was dropped when further badge orders were placed. This is the later version with no line between the lips. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse.
BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IA i backstamp, clearly defined. Note this stamp shows RGD instead of the usual REG and has the number 729136.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in good condition. No scratches or chips. Protective varnish coating fully intact. Small stress marks visible in multiple places on both legs.
