DESCRIPTION: Jolly Golly Golfer for sale in very good condition. This delightful badge design was the first enamel Golly badge ever issued by Robertsons. Manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons from 1928. The Jolly Golly Golfer originally had a line in the mouth to distinguish the lips, as this small area was hard to enamel it was dropped when further badge orders were placed. This is the earlier version with line between the lips. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse.
BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IA i backstamp, clearly defined. Note this stamp shows REG 729156.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in excellent condition. Stress lines visible to golly's left leg (right as viewed). Protective varnish coating still intact. Complete with original straight pin. For further information on grading please
