DESCRIPTION: A White Waistcoat Standard made by 'RICHARD GOMM' with light blue jacket. Blue hands and red feet in a brass finish. This design has the word EMPIRE in raised metal on reverse indicating it was produced by Gomms subsidiary in Dublin. The word EMPIRE was used to avoid import tax. Please make no mistake this is a difficult badge to find.
BACKSTAMP: Gomm Type I iii. Clearly defined stamp.
CONDITION: In excellent condition. All enamel present with no scratches, chips or stress marks. The metal to both sides is clean and bright. Complete with original straight pin. A lovely example of this rare design.
