DESCRIPTION: A very interesting badge from the White Waistcoat era, made by 'Fattorini' with NO ENAMEL. This is obviously an unfinished design, likely to have left the factory in a coat pocket as a momento. A small number of these designs are known unenamelled, some were later hand enamelled with a brown guitar... however the entrerprising collector behind this was not able to reproduce the correct shade of brown so these remain very easy to spot. Makes an intersting additional when displayed alongside the genuine enamelled examples.
BACKSTAMP: 'Fattorini' [2]. Clearly stamped.
CONDITION: Presented in excellent condition. Never enamelled. Metal is very clean and bright. Complete with original straight pin and clasp. Delightful.
