DESCRIPTION: Offered for sale, for the first time at a Golly Auciton: the legendary Golden Farmer.
Produced for the eleventh SLC (and the second 'extra-ordinary' SLC) which took place on 29-Aug-2004 at the Brewers Arms, South Petherton, Somerset. Only five designs of the Golden Farmer were ever made. They were given away on the day of the SLC, to winners of the of the gherkin eating competition (x3), prize draw and silent auction. The Gold Farmer was never intended to have white eyes. This was a manufacturing mistake.

The Sunday Lunch Club is the name given to the official meeting of members of The Robertson’s Badge Club. This is an online club which started out as a Yahoo! Group: ‘GollyBC’ and has since moved over to Facebook. The first SLC took place at the end of 2001 to encourage Golly badge collectors to meet and swap badges or just chat in a relaxed setting. Official badges were produced for members each year and regular meetings were held up and down the country.
The badges produced by the group were not officially endorsed by Robertsons as the Golly had ceased to be used by Robertsons at this time. However, the full list of designs issued by the group are included in
section W of the Golly Guide. The 'Robertons Badge Club' facebook group remains the only Robertsons Badge collecting group devoted exclusively to Robertsons Golly collecting and endorsed by the Golly Checklist team.
