DESCRIPTION: The ninth SLC was held over the Easter weekend at Skegness (10th and 11th Apr-2004). An action packed weekend was arranged, including an Easter Egg Hunt. Attendees searched for metallic red or green tickets and in true Willy Wonka style, if you found a ticket you were given an Easter Egg. The day’s events culminated on Saturday evening with a Fancy Dress Ball. Sunday morning saw a crazy golf tournament on Skegness sea-front. This was followed by the traditional Sunday Lunch.. This Tin Button badge was produced as a momento to mark the event. Limited to 48.

The Sunday Lunch Club is the name given to the official meeting of members of The Robertson’s Badge Club. This is an online club which started out as a Yahoo! Group: ‘GollyBC’ and has since moved over to Facebook. The first SLC took place at the end of 2001 to encourage Golly badge collectors to meet and swap badges or just chat in a relaxed setting. Official badges were produced for members each year and regular meetings were held up and down the country.
The badges produced by the group were not officially endorsed by Robertsons as the Golly had ceased to be used by Robertsons at this time. However, the full list of designs issued by the group are included in section W of the Golly Guide. The 'Robertons Badge Club' facebook group remains the only Robertsons Badge collecting group devoted exclusively to Robertsons Golly collecting and endorsed by the Golly Checklist team.
