DESCRIPTION: The eighth SLC was held in Totworth Court, Bristol on 28-Sep-2
003. This Tin Button badge was produced as a momento of the event. It shows an Engine Driver Waiter. This is the more scarce version with all yellow coupling (one with yellow/green version was also produced).
Limited to only 24.
CONDITION: Presented in good condition although note it is a little grubby to front..

The Sunday Lunch Club is the name given to the official meeting of members of The Robertson’s Badge Club. This is an online club which started out as a Yahoo! Group: ‘GollyBC’ and has since moved over to Facebook. The first SLC took place at the end of 2001 to encourage Golly badge collectors to meet and swap badges or just chat in a relaxed setting. Official badges were produced for members each year and regular meetings were held up and down the country.
The badges produced by the group were not officially endorsed by Robertsons as the Golly had ceased to be used by Robertsons at this time. However, the full list of designs issued by the group are included in section W of the Golly Guide. The 'Robertons Badge Club' facebook group remains the only Robertsons Badge collecting group devoted exclusively to Robertsons Golly collecting and endorsed by the Golly Checklist team.
