DESCRIPTION: At Sunday Lunch Club 3, attendance badges were introduced. These gave SLC attendees the opportunity to buy a 'cut-out' Sunday Lunch Club badge depending on how many SLC’s they had attended. Each lunch attended allows the collector (affectionately known as a ‘SLuncher’) to buy a badge with a different colour neck tie. A different serial number is stamped on the reverse of each badge in the first three series.
This lot is for the Chef with Purple neck tie. This was available for those attending their ninth SLC. Limited to 50 badges produced.
CONDITION: Presented in close to perfect condition to front, light tarnishing to pin on reverse.

The Sunday Lunch Club is the name given to the official meeting of members of The Robertson’s Badge Club. This is an online club which started out as a Yahoo! Group: ‘GollyBC’ and has since moved over to Facebook. The first SLC took place at the end of 2001 to encourage Golly badge collectors to meet and swap badges or just chat in a relaxed setting. Official badges were produced for members each year and regular meetings were held up and down the country.
The badges produced by the group were not officially endorsed by Robertsons as the Golly had ceased to be used by Robertsons at this time. However, the full list of designs issued by the group are included in section W of the Golly Guide. The 'Robertons Badge Club' facebook group remains the only Robertsons Badge collecting group devoted exclusively to Robertsons Golly collecting and endorsed by the Golly Checklist team.
