The history of the Robertson’s Golly has been extensively investigated since the 1980’s by Colin Dodds with input and assistance from some of the world's leading collectors. One such person, Zanny Garbett, who has assisted Colin for many years, officially took ownership of the copyright of this material in 2015 to continue the research and publication of this material. This Research page is produced for the benefit of collectors to view some of the areas where further information is required. It is available to view by all active Golly Guide subscribers. By co-ordinating the research effort, with the help of collector's worldwide, the vast majority of official items have now been established and these are summarised and presented for the common understanding and enjoyment of all collectors in the online Golly Guide. A printed checklist covering badges and pendants is also available as a handy reference. Since its creation in 2002, the Golly Guide has been recognised amongst collectors as the authoritative reference to all items connected to the Robertson’s Golly, but despite significant research over many decades we don't claim to know everything. The Research work is still very much ongoing and new items or variations on existing items do still regulrarly turn up.
