DESCRIPTION: This attractive prewar tennis player design with yellow v-neck was manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons in 1937. This particular example shows the earlier Miller Type 1Bii backstamp ('REGd') with the registration number 808488.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in very good condition. Original varnish coating still entirely intact. No scratches or chips. Light leg stress visible to golly's left thigh as seen in image. Complete with original straight pin. Reverse shows a nice patina, light tarnish present but no attempt has been made to clean.
