DESCRIPTION: This attractive prewar tennis player design with yellow v-neck was manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons in 1937. This particular example shows the earlier Miller Type 1Bi backstamp ('REGd APPd') which was used by Miller prior to the design being registered at the patent office (after registration a stamp of 'REGd' was used).

CONDITION: Presented for sale in very good overall condition. All enamel is bright and clean and fully intact with no chips or scratches. Light stress marks visible in both legs as shown in images. Original varnish coating still largely intact. Complete with original straight pin.
