DESCRIPTION: Prewar Fruit Raspberry Golly badge in excellent condition. Manufactured by Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons sometime after 1932. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse. Note the 'REGD 768826' is on two lines. Note for the specialist collector: Two versions of this backstamp are known, this one being the 'large' version.
This is one of six Prewar Fruit designs from the prewar era. These designs are distinctive for their small golly head which appears on each one.
BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IA iii (with REGD number). Lightly defined backstamp.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in excellent condition. No sign of any stress marks, chips or enamel loss. Rear in original uncleaned condition. Complete with original straight pin.
