DESCRIPTION: A rare opportunity to add a prewar Coronation Golly badge to your collection. Manufactured by the high quality badge maker H.W.Miller of Birmingham and prepared for the coronation of King George VI, which took place on 12th May 1937. This design carries the Miller Type 1Biii backstamp ('COPYRIGHT
').
CONDITION: Presented for sale in perfectly collectable condition. Enamel to the top 3/4 of the badge is excellent, but the lower quarter (the legs) shows a small chip to golly's right leg (left as viewed) and two small sets of stress lines to golly's left leg (right as viewed). The thin silver coating to waistcoat is almost completely lost. Just small elements left to the waistcoat. The rear has original straight pin and a lovely patina. A great opportunity to add a very rare badge to your collection for a fraction of the usual price.
