DESCRIPTION: The Robertson’s Badge Club started life around the end of 2001 as a Yahoo!Groups site called ‘GollyBC’. The Yahoo!Group ran very successfully for many years. Attended by many leading collectors of the time, it was well organised from the start. Official badges were produced for members each year and regular meetings were held up and down the country.
The badges produced by the group were not officially endorsed by Robertsons as the Golly had ceased to be used by Robertsons at this time. However, the full list of designs issued by the group are included in
section W of the Golly Guide. The Yahoo!group was the precursor to the 'Robertons Badge Club' facebook group and remains the only Robertsons Badge collecting group endorsed by the Golly Checklist. There were 20 badges produced for members of the Yahoo!group. This one is the fourth one issued. Listed as GBC4 in the Golly Guide.
The badge is un-numbered but itis known that 250 were issued and comes with the original certificate.
CONDITION: Presented in close to perfect condition front and back with original pin.
