DESCRIPTION: A genuine Robertsons badge from the 1980's era. This is one of the more difficult of the Acrylic Special Promotions to find.
Issued in 1987 as a joint venture between Robertsons and the
Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust, a limited edition of only 2000 were made but they were not distributed by Robertsons. They were only available from the CF Research Trust. This particular badge is direct from the collection of Colin Dodds, a chance to add a real piece of history to your collection. In the box used by Colin for storage purposes.
BACKSTAMP: Robertsons JRS-1 backstamp.
CONDITION: Presented in exceptional condition. The acrylic to front is bright and clean, the metal is unblemished. On reverse the pin and clasp is fully working. A very clean example.
Offered for sale with low reserve.

FROM THE COLIN DODDS COLLECTION
In the Golly world, one person - above all others - stands out as being the leading figure in the research and cataloguing of the history and development of Robertsons and their famous mascot - Colin Dodds. Today's well informed collector owes much to his efforts with the Golly Checklist, which was started in 1991 and now in it's seventh edition. Check out the History page for a timeline of the development of the Golly Checklist. The Golly Auction team are delighted to have been chosen to auction a number of items from Colin's personal collection as he looks to downsize. From rare prototypes to common acrylics, there will be something for everyone. All such items will be clearly marked.
