DESCRIPTION: A genuine 1980's BLUE ASTRONAUT with light blue suit and white collar.
BACKSTAMP: James Robertsons PM Ltd. Type I backstamp.
CONDITION: In good condition. Close inspection shows a small amount of acrylic missing from Golly's right leg (left as viewed). Also light surface scuffs to spacesuit. Metal is lovely and bright. A perfectly collectable example of a rare badge. With fully operational pin and clasp. Great opportunity to add a very rare item to your collection at an attractive price. EDUCATION POINT: Please note, an enterprising and fraudulent collector decided to make their own 'Blue Astronauts' many years ago by painting a white astronaut blue. We have managed to obtain an example of this worthless badge. It is shown in the final image alongside the genuine item to help collectors avoid a costly mistake. Despite being the wrong shade of blue, the fraudster has failed to paint the elbows accurately, and also the collar is blue not white. Best avoided if you ever come across it.
