DESCRIPTION: A genuine 1970's Fattorini Skater. Along with the Cricketer, believed to be the rarest of all 70's Fattorini designs. Fattorini only switched over to producing the 1970's style of Golly badges late in the decade (in 1977). The production only lasted for a short period before a new range was introduced in 1979 hence their relative scarcity. Direct from the collection of Colin Dodds, a chance to add a real piece of history to your collection. In the box used by Colin for storage purposes.
This example has a lighter shade of blue on the waistcoat. A variation that is not yet recorded in the Checklist... worth checking against yours if you are fortunate enough to already have an example of this rarity in your collection.
CONDITION: Presented in close to perfect condition. No stress marks, scratches or chips. Metal is clean and bright and comes with original straight pin. See photos for full condition.
Offered for sale with low reserve.

FROM THE COLIN DODDS COLLECTION
In the Golly world, one person - above all others - stands out as being the leading figure in the research and cataloguing of the history and development of Robertsons and their famous mascot - Colin Dodds. Today's well informed collector owes much to his efforts with the Golly Checklist, which was started in 1991 and now in it's seventh edition. Check out the History page for a timeline of the development of the Golly Checklist. The Golly Auction team are delighted to have been chosen to auction a number of items from Colin's personal collection as he looks to downsize. From rare prototypes to common acrylics, there will be something for everyone. All such items will be clearly marked.
