DESCRIPTION: Prewar Golly Golfer offered in wonderful condition. This iconic design is a variant of the first enamel Golly badge manufactured by H.W.Miller of Birmingham. Issued by Robertsons sometime after 1928. Certified as genuine by the Miller type IA ii backstamp to reverse.

This is the modified Golfer design with a bar between the feet, no line between the lips and the incorrect registration number 729136.

BACKSTAMP: Variation of Miller Type IA ii with REGD 729136 markings. Defined backstamp with all characters visible and legible.

CONDITION: Presented for sale in immaculate condition. This design appears to have all original varnish in place. No stress marks chips or dmage whatsoever. Close examination under magnification shows a minor overfill of the white enamel of the right eye onto surrounding metal and the 'O' of golden not completely filled with yellow. Both defects barely visible to the naked eye. The metal has a patina consistent with age. Complete with original straight pin. For further information on grading please click here.

See photos for full details. Multiple high quality images shows the badge from different angles.
