DESCRIPTION: Prewar Fruit Strawberry Golly badge in excellent condition. Manufactured by H.W.Miller of Birmingham and issued by Robertsons sometime after 1932. Certified as genuine by the Miller backstamp to reverse.
This is one of six Prewar Fruit designs from the prewar era. These designs are distinctive for their small golly head which appears on each one.
BACKSTAMP: Miller Type IA i with the earlier REGD APPD 768905 markings. Lightly defined backstamp with all characters visible and legible.
CONDITION: Presented for sale in excellent condition. The front of the design is lovely. A fleabite chip on golly's head can be seen under magnification. Light stress lines to right hand lead. The reverse shows a tiny spot of corrosion to top otherwise very clean. The clasp has come away from the badge but still present and ready to be fixed. Complete with original straight pin.
